300ex hubs on 350x axle

I painted the axle, and couldn't get the hubs to fit. Anyone know if they do? Maybe the paint made it a little off though. The 300ex castle nut wouldn't fit on either, so i'm kinda stuck. Anyone know? Thanks!

the 350x has a differnt spline patern than the 300ex, i belive 250r one will work.
