IF ANYONE DID OR IS THINKING ABOUT GETTING YOUR STOCK SHOCKS DONE SEND THEM TO SANTO DERISI. THIS GUY GOES THE EXTRA MILE FOR EVERYONE. SANTO HAS HELPED ME MORE THEN I THINK ANYONE EVER WOULD. HE IS THE NICEST PERSON TO TALK TO. HE DOES EXCELLENT WORK AND I WOULD SEND ANYTHING TO HIM.

good to hear. I emailed Santo and got a quick response, when i called GT they said send an email - never did hear from them -- so Derisi gets my business :)

i have had santo do work for me before and it took a long time but quality was top notch and so was service. he also had good prices. the only bad thing about him is be prepared to wait. GThunder is trying to email more then phone talk because i think its cheaper as no long distance calls and also easier for them. They responded to all my questions very quickly when i had mine done recently and had my shocks back in my hands after 2 weeks opposed to people at the same time taking months with santo. if you can wait deffinately go with santo! what was your wait time man? i know its race season so everyone is taking a lot longer

I just had a full set of shocks revalved and serviced in 2 days:p I use Santo and Colby mainly, laz is just too busy these days so I hate to bother him.

Santo is the only person that will ever touch my suspension. He is also in the process of expanding, and he has a few new suspension parts in the works also. I can't wait to get his a-arms.

Santo is a really nice guy, very friendly and helpful over the phone. He even talked to me on the phone while he was at a race. How many pro riders will do that? It took him a week to do my shocks.

I justtalked to Santo the other day about doing my shocks he is a super nice guy.....it was no bother for him to talk to me....he told me 2 weeks on my shocks and the price was awesome for his new dual rate setup....he said that they like it better than the triples

I also agree. Santo is a super nice guy and unlike a lot of companies out there, it is never any trouble for him to take a few minutes and talk to you and answer any questions that you may have. Great people, great prices, great quality. What else do you want?

I cant wait to get my Axis shocks back from him. I sent them about a month and a week ago, a little over 5 weeks. Supposedly they were supposed to be done in 2 weeks. He was saying that he was having problems getting springs from Eibach. But that was almost 3 weeks ago. I'm hoping to hear from him soon:eek2:

I am sorry to everyone about the wait and the phone i have just had so many calls a day and it is hard for me to answer all of them. On the spring thing it has been a pain since i will order 50 + springs from eibach and they do not tell me that anything is backordered and when i get my order that i am counting on it is 20 + springs don't come b/c they are backordered. They never even told me when i ordered them that anything was backordered. Again i am sorry for the wait and i hope to get all that better here soon.

on the exterior, his set-up looks identical to C&D's.

How does his rear setup compare to the GT Thunder?

I have triple rate fronts and dual rear with link. That was the best improvement I made on my Rs handling. I had already widened it and rode on stock shocks for a few months. I am much more confident in the turns on this setup. The rear has no more buck at all.

As for comparing to aftermarket its hard to say. For standard travel i think they'd be pretty close to elka/axis. Once you go long travel though I think the aftermarket's would be better.

I have the dual rate set up for XC from santo. It works really well!!! I really can't tell much difference between my set up and a full Elka set up! Santo's rebuilds are top notch!!!
