A friend of mine has an 06' yfz he is putting on a k&n and a full exhaust, I believe it is a gtyr or something like that It is sopposedly made by yamaha or made for the yamaha (I don't know, He picked it out...) what kind of carberuator does it have and where would be a good place to start with jetting, needle placement and fuel screw adjustment? also does anyone know if these pipes are any good?

try a 165 main jet . also you will need to replace the needle with an NCVQ needle because on the 06s you cannot adjust the needle. i sell them for 12.50 shipped. also try a 45 or 48 pilot jet and go from there.

yes gyt-r is made by yamaha's racing department although i have not heard to many good reviews on it. i have a SPARKS x-6 full system. 165 main and a 48 pilot. 5th clip on the needle. fuel screw out half a turn and a boyeson quickshot accelorator pump cover. since its an 06' i would buy the needle that scrimmy suggested. my stuff works excellent.

We ended up putting in a 165 main and 48 pilot fuelscrew2.5 turns out and ncvq needle on 4th notch down but it still stalls when you stab the throttle.
