I have been learning more about suspension and I keep seeing shocks advertised as zero preload. What exactly do they mean by this and what are the advantages??

Thanks in advance!

Zero Preload = SSD - Self Sagging Device.

Basically, its the small coiled spring on aftermarket shocks, that compresses, under the weight of the quad alone.

This sets the bike lower to the ground, in turn, lowering the center-of-gravity, allowing more control. While still allowing the same amount of travel, once the shock is extended.
