Jetting Questions?

I have a 450 and I bought a leovince exhaust. I have a ported and pollished head with a crf 450 cam and air filter. where would be a good place to start with the jetting? I also bought a fmf jet kit.

What is your elevation? I am around 800Ft. If you are close to that I would say start with a 158 (maybe a little rich) but good to start rich and work your way down, a 45 pilot jet and put the needle clip on the 2nd down from the top. Also screw the mixture screw all the way in and then go 2 turns out. Keep in mind that you will need to let the quad idle and adjust the mixture screw in or out until your idle cleans up. (runs the smoothest) If you have to adjust your mixture screw more than 3 turns out (richer) to get it to idle smoothly, you are off on your pilot jet. (change the pilot and start back at about 1.5 turns out) You will want to do random plug checks as well. Keep us posted. ;)
