TRX450ER without Battery

Is it safe to run an 06 TRX450ER without the battery? For example, if a battery cable breaks, is it OK (even possible) to bump start the quad?

I know that the CDI and wiring harness is different than the 06 TRX450R. Not sure if the battery needs to be connected for everything to run properly on the TRX450ER or not.

I would think it would be like a car running on just the alternator it can but Im sure its not good for the system.if its got a battery it supposed to .you break a cable?,bad battery? just fix right I woulndt chance it just my .02

I agree. If you are in the woods and break a battery cable, then yes you could bump start it to get it back to the truck, but I wouldn't leave it like that. Just a cable isn't that expensive, but fixing the whole electrical system is. JMO

my buddy has been riding his for months with no battery.
been no problem. just have to pop start it or jump it.
