hrc kit or full pipe

Im gonna buy a 2005 450r from that southern honda place in tennesse and i was wonderin what would be better to get power wise, a full hmf pipe or the hrc power up kit?In a atv action magazine a while back when they tested the hrc 450r against the gytr yfz450 they said that the hrc kit gave the 05 around 10 hp I think. is that true?

for the 05, I would get the full pipe
for the 06, I would get the hrc kit

so in your case, I would get the full pipe, sparks big core!

On the '05 HRC kit, it doesn't come with a header pipe. I would probably do both. Full HMF or the Sparks big core. Both great pipes. The HRC probably puts out about 8 hp.

I'm in the same boat on what to hop up. I looked into Hot cams. different pipes, HRC kit, etc... I see that the 05 HRC kit doesn't come with the header pipe but I see that aftermarket pipes claim to fit '04 thru '06. I'm thinking of going '05 HRC kit and looking for the HRC header from an '06 kit(Ebay). And then I will decide on which slip on I want at a later date. Just what I came up with. For what it's worth.:macho

I have a 05 will the 06 hrc kit work it seems the cam and head pipe are the only inportant pieces did they cange that much in ! year
