Exhaust clamps

Wondering if after market exhausts use the same clamp that the stock exhaust use to hold on the muffler? The clamp that goes around were the header ends and slips into the muffler? I bought a 400ex with a pro curcit t-4 and it doesnt have one wondering if it was suposed to use the stock clamp?
