what kind of tires and rims are the best for trail riding and racing on the 400ex? what size should i get?

20/18 turf tamers in the rear for mx are real good

dont go with turf tamers if you are going to trail ride. they are too thin. Your best bet would be razrs for trails and some track.

you may also want to take a look at the Bulldogs from Kenda, they come in 4 or 6 ply ratings and are excellent in the woods. (One thing though, Kenda may be calling them The Claw or Claw MX now, I don't know why the name change but the treads are the same) just my 2¢.

id prob. go with bandit rears 22x10x10 xcs for trail riding if ya want a strong good tire that is my opinion ne ways
