Does anyone ride trails with a Hotcams stage 2 cam and if so how do you like it?

What engine mods? If you have a stock motor and put in a stage 2 you'll regret it. Your gonna loose bottomend power.

i have one, but also have a 440 high comp piston also. I love the combo. Tons of torque.

I have a Stage II with stock bore hi-comp piston, you will be fine. The Stage II does not have a loss in bottom end like everyone seems to believe, there is just no gain in the bottom end, all mid to top.

I have heard that 416s will beat 440s because of how much quicker they rev......
Sometimes it is not the bike, but the rider....

this is true he has been riding awhile longer than me and also weighs a little less, but I also heard the gearing is different on the newer bikes?

The gearing is slightly different.
Weight is a big factor, I beat a 450R with my stock bore 400EX, but the rider of the 450R weighed more than I did. We switched and I beat him on the 450R.
