so i purchased a lt/80 for my kids.it really didn't run good.so i pulled the cyclinder off and found the cyclinder scratched and scrone the jug.so i bored it out 20 over and piston and rings.ok
then i got it running.it had a loud noise from the left side of motor.so i tore apart the left side case.ck and found front clutch totally blown apart.so i replaced clutch assembly.ok.now it runs,and their isn't no loud noises comming from the engine.butit has no power very dogish.i can pick it up off the ground and it seems to go very good.can some-one help me out.does the front clutch have to be timmed or something?:ermm:

It sounds more like a jet plugged in the carb. Have you cleaned it?
Did the rear clutch seem to work OK by hand? Was the bearings bad in it?

YES I SPUN THE REAR.IT'S SEEMED TO BE OK.SOMEONE TOLD ME THE BELT MAYBE WAS BAD,CAUSE IF THE CLUTCH WAS AS BAD AS IT WAS IT COULD OF WORN THE BELT......DO U HAVE TO TAKE OFF THE WHOLE SIDE COVER TO REPLACE THE BELT?

If the belt is in one piece, it's prolly fine. They last forever.
I still think it's in the carb.

yes,but the only thing that is throwing me off is when u pick quad off the grounf it runs just fine.when some-one sits on it and trys to ride it their is like nothing their.weird.it revs up fine off the ground.

What the compression?
