This is dirtpig's son and I was wondering what is the best pipe you can get for a 2002 400ex? I don't know whether to get a white brothers or a sparks but if you have any other suggestions let me know please. I would also like to know what kind of jets I should get and what kind of air filter.

get a yoshimura full exhaust, dynojet kit, and a k&n filter and outwears, and take off the lid.

Do you have decibal limitations in your riding area(s)?

personally Im not a fan of White Brothers. I have a Yoshimura Pro Series full system that I bought for $615.99 from www.rockymountainatv.com and It is amazing a decibal range of 103-108... and it has the best perfomance u will believe a overall peak horsepower of 7-10 horsepower... ICAT spark enhancers are a good item to buy when buying a full system they increase torque and throttle response is unbelievable...

I have a white brothers e-series and I love it... Good power, maybe not the best but for the price it ain't bad... Its also tuneable so you can get bottom end, and topend and what not, and also tune it for sound... The E2 is a good pipe, but I don't know much about it so someone else can tell you about it.

I have an e2 that I run with the spark arrestor. It has good power and it if pretty quiet. What I do not like it that you can not get a header pipe for it that I know of. I am not too bent about that because I trail ride and I am pretty happy with the torqe curve of the stock pipe but if I was going to race it or run in the sand I would go with a different set up where I could get a header pipe designed for high end.

If you shop you can get the e2 for around $320.00

I got a wb e-series. Not the loudest. I noticed a lot more bottom end. Only $250 also.

Sparks x6 big core, great exhaust, will notice a big increase in the top-end, a small increase in bottom.

i dont like people advice in this kind of question.

i prefer dyno tested stuff with proof.

so i dont care about what people said, i only care about the real thing. horse power gain!

I'm running an E2 without the spark arrestor. i'm also running FMF Hi Flo Stainless headers and the headers fit like a glove with the E2. it runs good.

I've was running a White Bros E-Series but the muffler broke off at the pipe section. I tried TIG'ing it back together, but I was unsuccessful.

What is a good pipe to replace it with? I like the power of the E-Series but I would like something a little quieter.

I say E-series. I ran it for a while and it was good. I ran with out the disks and spark arrestor to get the most out of the pipe.

Mine also broke. The mount on the S pipe broke off after 2 years then a year lator the the S pipe weld broke that connects it to the muffler. I had it re-welded for I think $90 and it turnt out just like new.

The E-series has disks you can make it as quiet as you want. If your shooting for maximum power than you remove the spark arrestor and disks which will put you at about 101dbs. Remove the air box lid and it might make it a couple dbs higher, but not sure all I know for a fact is that with out a lid it makes the exhaust tone sound deaper.
