Why is my clutch so hard to pull....It shifts fine ....every thing works great but it so darn hard to pull my lever in!!! should I just get a new cable?

you should probably just lube the cable

your lever is hard to pull for 1 of 2 reasons- 1- excessive grime in the cable or 2- the plastic has melted into the metal where it goes between the header pipe. Replace it, they're only around $13.00.

Good choice- buy 2 of them- that'll last about 1 year-lol:D

1 year thats it?...then it must be time I havent replaced in for at least 2 years.

I just bought a new one and put it on, did the 20 minute break-in for my new cam, and melted the plastic inner linner in my new clutch cable:mad :mad:

that is what happens,i did the same thing but i bought the hydraulic clutch,the plastic hydraulic line hit my header and everyone thought my chit was on fire...lol...lotta smoke... just make sure you route the cable beteween the header pipes correctly and do a test,turn the bars and check.....
make sure to invest in a cable luber....one of the best investments i have made....
