i just got my bike all togther. it seems to run great but when i am at a low speed in a higher gear and get on it, the engine starts pinging. ive pulled my plug and it looks good. im running 92 octane right now.... should i jump up higher or is my problem elsewhere

that "ping" is pre-detonation, your running to low octane in your gas- go buy a bottle of octane boost and add it to your gas- you should run 94 octane or greater w/ a 11:1 piston.

BTW, there is no such thing as "pre-detonation". There is detonation and there is pre-ignition. Those two terms describe two separate abnormal combustion phenomenon. I've explained what detonation is in THIS THREAD (http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2232303#post2232303).
