This old building caught fire about 200 yards from my house today.I was outside and saw the smoke so I headed up to see what was going on.I was able to snap a few pics before the camera died. The fire department was able to contain it but what is left will have to be knocked down. The pics are from the rear of the building. In front of the building is the main street that runs through town.Traffic has been blocked for about 3 1/2 hours. This building was around 90 years old.

No word yet on how it started. The building was being used as an apartment building with several families living in it.Everyone made it out ok.

LMAO.........funny you should say that.We walked back to the house after watching it and the power company had to disconnect the power because of the fire so we had to fix dinner on the bbq grill.I promise you though.....the fire started way before I lit the grill :p

Its always depressing to see old buildings like that burn down. Any building, for that matter.

I'll bet they blame the electrical....whenever they can't figure it, it was the wiring. Sorry, just another sparky's rant.:o

My friends barn beside my house was full of hay bails and caught fire around 7pm in August 2001. I was on exriders, looked past my monitor out the window, about 300 feet away the sky is just a flamin'. My friend wasn't home so my mom made the call to 911, I went over looking to see if my friend was okay, but he wasn't even there. He was down the road at his uncles. His dad wakes up, goes to his brothers house down the road, finds his son, says, hey our barn burnt down last night. He thought he was kidding, then he drives up to his house and was like :eek2: You really weren't joking :huh . He was on the cover of the hamilton spectator and some other newspaper so that's pretty rad lol.
