I like 40:1. A top-end stumble sounds like a jetting issue not a fuel mixture issue.

Your supposed to mix the oil according to the oil manufacturers recommendations, as different oils will blend differently with gas.

I ran 40:1 with Bel Ray MC 1 when I owned a 250R.
