My 12.5-1 440 was rebuilt in the late fall ran strong & great till this spring ,I finally bought a pipe etc. & went to rejet & was told my compression was low & it is the timings dead on has a Hotcam on top so decomp pin & spring arent an issue anymore Ive taken the cyl. & piston out & they look like new I cant find piston or ring damage valves look perfect & seal 100% I put it together again with low compression it will fire right up with a lot of choke & cranking & once it warms up runs fine without choke but the breather to the airbox is really puffin Quite a bit & its grey smoke & once you turn it off Its almost impossible to resart , the last shop it was in for jetting there positive my timing was perfect as I thought & I took my piston & cyl. to a good local engine builder & he couldnt find fault with it either ???whats up ???
