400ex front plastic crack

Hey my front plastic cracked right above the top mount and the mount broke. Has this happened to anyone. Did you come up with any way to fix it?

yupp it has happened to me on both sides. Ive had them wire tied on there for about 2 years now and still works fine.

I just bought mine and the plastic is cracked in the front. It seems to work fine but my friend who has a dirtbike said you can use a soldering iron from the underside and melt it back together, but i don't trust it but you can try it.

lol ya try it and tell us how it works, just make sure you dont hold it there to long otherwise it will burn the plastic and cause it to go black. :blah:

There is some high strength epoxy that dries in 5 minutes. It sticks really well to plastic. You might give it a try. It is probably worth the $5 to try it out.

Most people shave the fenders when this happens or drill 4 holes to feed zipties through to reconnect to the brackets.
