Question

I Have an 02 400ex and was out riding and then a prob occured. I had been ridin 4 about 30mins before this happened. When ever i give it full throttle in any gear it bogs down and starts to sputter or wat ever i have never had this prob b4 so if any 1 can help me out on how to fix it i would appreciate it. Thanks

did ya check your spark plug?

make sure the choke is off and your fuel tank is on and there is nothing blocking your petcock off, try putting it on reserve and trying, somhow a piece of one of the gas tanks i used clogged mine up :), did you change altitudes at all ?

Have you serviced or changed the carb in any way? How does it run when not at full throttle? (as in idle, 1/2-3/4 throttle_)

The carb on the 400 is the stock 1. If im just going along cruzing speed it is fine i have no prob but then when i give it gas to accelerate that is when it all happens. Thanks for your help

I had the same problem. I tried plugs and rejetting, adjusted valves, did compression test everything, We finally got another carb and it fixed the issue.

Maybe you have to much or too little oil on your air filter- just a thought.

check your carb connection or filter lid
maybe to much air

The samething happened to me once, but the flange which is a little rubber hose thing that comes from your carb that connects to the motor was cracked because it was just that soft tubing stuff so i bought a new one that was made from this hard plastic stuff and it fixed the problem.
