Sad day today

I broke my 300ex! ahh! Well I just had my razrs put on, ac grab bar and my ac front bumper and its looking awesome. I make it out into the woods and in about 3 minutes flat my suspensions turns to mush. I get off the bike and the left shock broke its weld on the shock tab at the bottom!! So there goes that. I ordered some off ebay as stock replacements from a 02 parted 300.

Any idea what happen? A buddy of mine had it before me but It hadnt been ran in like 2 years. And why do they just use a small weld like that!?

i got a 400ex and have developed a crack in the same spot, lower left aram, all the way allong the shock tab facing the back is compltly cracked.
