I think I over-tightened the drain plug and now it's leaking at the base of the tank. Can I weld it? is this the time to get the "UM" oversized tank? is it worth it?

I don't think you can weld it, but I would check EBAY for a cheapy used one.

make sure you just don't need a new crush washer....;)
