I just bought a tether from the dealer, and it is normally open (with the ripcord installed) I'm assuming I have to ground something then. WHAT????? I know that a normally closed could be installed very easily between the keyswitch, but need to get this thing in tonight for practice tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated.... Thanks, Jeff

dont know if its the same on the eton, but i think it is, wire colors may be different, but the teather should have two wires, one connects to the black/white wire from the CDI, the other wire goes to ground(i connected mine to the coil bolt/ground), hope this helps..

Hwood, on our Eton I ran it from the hot side of the coil to ground. The other way described will work also. I suggest taking the kill switch apart and putting some dielectric grease in it to keep it working for a long time.
