What do you need to make a 8 Plate clutch setup?

I already have a Hinson Basket.

I put the Sparks 8-plate kit in when I did my 416. I like it alot....works good. Got it from CDracing.

I know you can buy the kits, but are they the same fibers and plates as stock?

I don't know if there is a difference other than "more" of them. Sorry.

theres a picture of all the parts on gt thunders web site. With the GT thunder setup the inner pressure plate is machined to make more room. I don't think the Sparks one is like that though.

Yeah, I have been to Laz's site and seen that before, but I did not know if they were OEM fibers and steels that you added to do it. I also did not know if it would work without the machining of the inner hub.

I've looked into this a little - and a few ppl were telling me that they use 250r plates/fibers to get 8 in because they're thinner

it will fit right in a stock basket. the sparks 8-plate setup used thinner plates. i am not sure about the steel's but the fibers were thinner. the steel plates were different. the stock ones had holes in them. the sparks did not have these.

I believe it's 250r fibers and 300ex steels.

Cal400ex ... you gave up on making the 400 quicker?

thanks! I was hoping that I could just add 1 or each for a 400EX, but I will look into getting it done.

i have been told they were from a 300ex before. but i don't know the validity of that. maybe it is just their fibers.

I have the sparks 8 plate kit in my 440ex amd i like it. The only thing that i have against it is that i lost alot of adjustment because of the increased thickness, but other than that i love them. I have never slipped them once.
