has anybody used the works front shock rebuild, like the spring kit? i want to get my front end set up for +2 a-arms. i just got some +2 a-arms and i am scared that the stock shocks will be too soft for +2 for mx racing. please i need help.

they will definately be too soft and the works springs are a CHEAP alternative that I wouldnt use at all for racing. you need to get them revalved and resprung by a shock company like GTTHUNDER OR DERISIRACING.com

DERISIRACING does great work. I met Santo at the last race and he is a great guy and his company does amazing work at great prices. Give them a shot. You won't be disappointed

The triple rate set up from GTThunder uses the works spring kit so if Laz is using them they can't be all that bad......

WOW over stock suspension the works triple rate kit is awsome i race XC with mine though but still i do dabble with mx a little and it soaks them up great.

Mix- why wouldnt you race with them have you used them or is it just that price tag they ahve on them that makes you think there no good just curious?

i have the works +2 triple rate spring setup. i didnt get them rebuild and all i do is mx. There not the best but ilove mine. i past people with long travle all the time.

There deffinalty worth the $200. I jump 70ft table tops and a 85' triple and i cant complain 1 bit. If you have themoney just go long travel. Let me no if you have any qeustions.

Have any of you guys ever rode a rebuild by GTThunder? I've rode a stock rebuild by derisiracing, but not GTThunder. If so, how would you compare them to the works kit? I will be getting new shocks or a new rebuild soon, just curious on which way to go. Thanks yall.

When they rebuild a shock, they use different springs and revalve the shock itself.

The way I look at it is...the works kit is only doing half of the job. The other half is in revalving.

I'm not trying to steal this thread but which do you guys think is better GTThunder or Derisracing? What would be the rebuild time on this?

go with GT Thunder in the rear.. get the hyperco spring, the revalve, and the linkage.. it makes a huge difference over stock and to me is just as good as a aftermarket shock on a stock link.

for the front, i'd have to say go with Long Travel if you're into racing.. if don't want to fork out the money for long travel, go with a GOOD set of plus 2 STD. a-arms, and a pair of Elka's or Axis's...

thats just my 2 cents... good luck on your choice..
