Has anyone go up against the KFX700?
With a 450r?

How fast are the kfx700? Do they ride like a yamaha 700?

I have taken 2 of them on dirt with my 06 hrc 450r
I think the 700 raptor is a little quicker its hard to tell when they are behind you who is closer.
they are all close enough that rider and holeshot can make the difference.

ive beat both by 1-2 quads lengths but i am very good at drag racing and dont weigh anything

I raced a kfx700 way back in april 2004 when i first got my 450 and it was stock. The kfx had dual alien exhaust, jet kit, and flilter and i beat him every time. The guy was amazed, he kept wanting to race cause he thought something was wrong with his quad!! When you beat em' just tell them its not because they're bike is messed up, its because your riding a HONDA! haha

those duals deffinately werent helping him as much as one would. I wonder if he knows that

A buddy of mine has a KFX700 with dual HMFs. He did some drag racing and swapping with another buddy who has a stock one. The one with the pipes is definately faster. With all that being said, my '06 HRC will consistently beat it. I'm neck and neck with the Raptors.

yes the duals is faster then a STOCK one but a single aftermarket exhaust is better then 2 aftermarket exhausts performance wise. not looks and sound wise

I understand that's been proven on the 450r, but that's true on the KFX as well?

IMO the kfx700 is a big pile. and, a waste of everyone's time and money. again, JMO.

I own Both a 04 kfx700 and a Trx450er 06 I would say the honda is faster on a long drag but on a short drag a kfx pulls well.
But its not about the speed a kfx 700 is a nice everyday riding bike not the fastest most nimble bike it weighs a ton . The whole family enjoys the KFX.

one is a caddy, the other is a ferarri
yes one is faster with better handleing and lighter
but the other is more comfy and less work to play on.
apples and oranges
lightning has best of both worlds
in my own experiences I get the 700 off the line and keep pulling
I dont have a clue what the other 2 700s have done to them but they sound like a airplane. I have hrc and pro design filter.

i could take a 700 with duel pipes and jet kit on my stock kfx400 after 3rd by a couple of bike lenghts

Clutch work helps the KFX700 more than pipes really do.

I have never, at any stage, been outrun by a 400. My bike is on the fritz right now and I was still running basicly dead even with a piped YFZ this weekend and killing a basicly stock Raptor 660. I have lost to my fair share of 450s though.

You are all on crack........

Head to head in the open desert......no TRX450R will beat a KFX700.

how does having the dual exhaust not have better performance than single on the kfx700?

None of the pipes really differ much from one to another. It really comes down to more of what you like and the amount of noise you want to make.

Easy there, DESDAK4. According to Mr. KRMIT, you cannot make any posts on what you like and dislike. But, I think you're safe here.....since you didn't actually post which quad you prefer.

Ah, there's another helpful post by Mr. Force. It's nice to see you staying right on topic.

Yes, DESDAK4 is safe here because his post actually has something to contribute to the conversation. Instead of flaming everyone that rides a particular bike, like calling it a "big pile".

I have been on the forums long enough to know how to stay out of the battles for the most part.

I ride a KFX 700 and have been beat as well as hand out some beatings on the drag strip. I just like quads no matter the brand I mean we are always shopping right:D

sharp quad, I am honda all the way but I can respect everyone else and like a good quad race between same makes as well as others.
I have just as much fun running another 450r as anything else.
I have got the best of 700 rappys, kfx700's,yfz's, banshee's, and one ltr.
I have been on the losing end of another 450r (several times)
my friends banshee also gets me, not by alot but enough.
I have even lost to a dang 400ex (built/bored/piped/cam etc)
all I have is a hrc, and pro design filter. there are faster out there but mine is respectable as are many others listed
oh I almost forgot about the pred. 500 (he was the most fun to beat because he kept saying he got a bad start, he missed a gear, his filter is dirty) lol some people can lose with respect and others...............just lose lol
ride hard and keep smiling (makes them wonder what your up to)
