Search around and talk to the companies. Different shocks will be better for different people.

I would say tcs, great shock for the money. Todd is the nicest guy ever and erica is super smart.

PEP big bottles are great but for any amature their never going to be used to their true potential.

and the average wait time on PEP is 9-12 weeks. Just called today

Elkas are great but they are not plush and the valving can be a little off sometimes.

Progressives look great and their alot like fox with the air style dampning. But just like tires you will always have to adjust and check you shocks

Custom axis- dont bother, all of their shock builders went to ohlins

Ohlins - Stiff not a plush shock

works- black widows- great shock and not really out their yet- but they have a full set of adjustments including hi/low speed comp, rebound and ride height, their fairly inexpensive and they will be to your door in about two weeks, they are a plush shock but just because they say works does not mean they suck. This is a full blown race shock!

They can all be plush, tell the builder when you're ordering them. But if they're to plush they won't do good with jumping.

save your self a bunch of money and buy a front end set up from gthunder. he has lots of a-arms for a yfz, and he can make the stock shocks works better than anything you will get straight for pep, elka, axis or the others

LAZ really knows his stuff like brad said. Give him a call and go with what he says.

and they can't all be plush the way some can

TCS are plush because you can keep all of your ground clearance and still have extreme bottoming resistance

My elkas soak up everything but dont have the responsive my tcs have
