View Full Version : Crank Bearing Installation Cost?

I brought my 250r to the local shop the other day because the engine sounded rough and they said it needs crank bearings and seals on both sides. $300 for parts and labor, does that sound reasonable?

To me that sounds about right. But while they have the engine apart I would spend some extra money and have them rebuild the top end too, unless it is still fresh. Hone the cylinder, new piston, and new rings.

Well my engine is getting the bottom end redone right now- my rod bearings went out and they are putting in a whole new crank assembly and labor for $475--- might be a little more, but from what I have heard the guy is damn good--
