06 cdi question

alright guys what cdi 's have you tried on the 06 what works good and wont brake the bank. I dont wanna over rev the crap out of it but I would like to change the timing curve.

What is this bump thing about? Anyway, the HRC kit comes with a cdi that will up your rev limiter by 1000. I'd give that a try and work from there.

If you buy the HRC kit, you can use the plug thats included as bwilson stated or you can do the "green wire mod" which does the same thing.

Just snip the green wire on the far left plug when you are facing the front of the quad. It increases the RPMs to 10,500 and changes the curve. Works great as long as you have a pipe/cam....in complete stock form doesnt really offer much on benefits because when you start reving it past the factory setting....it falls on its face a bit in my experience on my '06. Now with a good cam....it just pulls hard all the way to the rev limiter!

Thats the cheap way but if ya wanna drop some cash....dyna, vortex, or a toyko mods all make ignitions that work GREAT....
