What are the best xc tires. I'm up in the air between razr II's and I-Razr's. Give me some input.

Im wanting to know the same thing too. how do they compare and how are they different? All i really know is that there both 6 ply, and the i razrs are radial..

Kenda Knarly XC hands down. Best hook up in any condition of any tire i have ridden. The razr2's arent bad either, but i think it is hard to beat the knarly.

Heck yes, you can say that again... I got a pair on the rear and the hook up is amazing, I can do donuts and throw mud clots like no other... They hook up like no other, but Kenda Knarly's are pretty good to... If it was my choice I would pick either of those two.

Which way are you referring to as backwards? They are bi-directional, one way for hard pack, one way for soft.

I have I-Razr's. Personally, I wouldn't own another tire. I love these.

I have razr's and i am wearing the tread right off them. My brother has had the same pair of razr 2's for over a year now and they are still good tread left. So, I would stay away from the regualar razr's. Spend the extra $30.

Are the Hd's 6 ply or 4 ply, I have put about 3 holes in my set of rear razrs??

Here is a pic of the original razr's. This pic is from before the 406 kit with tc cam. Now everytime I ride I can see the knobs getting rounded.

whats the weight of the razr2s mounted on the rim? i remember somebody posted up weights of the stock wheel/tires and the the HD tire/wheels and i think there was around a 10 pound difference between each combo on each back wheel. how do the razr2s compare. are they kinda light being 6 ply?

You mean kinda heavy, being 6 ply.

yea, just how heavy though? They're not as heavy as hd's are they?

I would go with razr2's, cause as stated above, my bro has reg razr, and they hook up great, but they wear down kinda quick... MY razr2's I've rode on roads, and cant even tell a difference, and the hook up is great.

Listen.. .another option is ITP XCTs... my bro has them on his 450r and he loves them. I gotta admit they bite nicely but you can also slide them when you want to as well. PLus.. they are much lighter.

what about the regular razr fronts? i heard that they like to wander at high speed on hard pack. that true?

Hondaexboy

ride hard man-
are those 20''s or 22"s?,...because they are bigger than your fronts.

miller821

They're 22's, my fronts are 20's..

What about the new ITP GNCC tire? From what I have heard so far they are supposed to be really good for XC riding. Anyone have any opinions on them? I am thinking about getting them on the rear of my 400 and the HD's on the front.

do the 6ply razors last longer than the 4ply

Yes, 6ply is going to last over 4ply on anything...

6 ply razrs are my tire of choice. I like the way they handle a lot better than the heaveyer more agressive razr 2

Hondaexboy

How does the 6ply razors compare to the razor 2's(tread life)

is razors rear and razor 2's front a good combo?

miller821

I think that razr2's compared to the razr's will hold there tread longer... Mine are 6ply, and I don't know if my bros razr's are 4 or 6, but they're pretty low on tread and he hasn't had em to long..
