Just remember to use 85 sprockets with that axle. The 85 sprockets are different than the 86-89. There are differences between the 85 and 86 ATC swingers and axles, I don't remember them exactly. Mine is an 86 and has a 85 swinger with a 86 carrier and axle (among other misc 85 parts previous owners put on it:rolleyes: )

You can't have a 85 swinger with a 86 carrier, it won't fit. The 85 carrier housing is smaller that 86 on up and only the 85 or lsr carrier will work in the 85 or other 85 aftermarket carriers if there are any. The axles are the same size but on the 85 the sprocket bolts to the outside of the sprocket hub, 86 on up it bolts to the inside.
