oil filter

Well i was changing my oil filter today and when i went to put in the right side screw for the cover half of the threaded part snapped inside of it. How can i get it out?

you're prolly gonna have to tak the case off and send it to a machine shop so they can re drill and tap it for you, unless u have the tools

i can re drill it nd tap it so thats not a problem.

You'll need to remove the case cover to get to the broken bolt. I bet when you take the cover off you'll find the broken bolt flush (or nearly flush) with the case. Should be easy to get out from that point--no need to tap anything unless the threads got screwed up. If the bolt broke your threads are prolly just fine.

Whatever the situation, the first step is removing the case cover and taking a look at what your dealing with.

i took all the bolts out on the case cover and it still wouldnt come off something i forgot
