my high comp 440 was sent out for jetting & was very hard to start but ran good when it did run the guy told me the compression was low & may have a cracked ring i got it back checked the compression myself & get get it to pump up more than 80 psi I can start it with a lot of choke (kind of like building compression ) & runs good once started , although the vent that goes to the air box is blowin pretty bad & its grey smoke , the timings dead on & this motor was fresh in November is a ring likely cracked already ? & what would cause it so soon ?
