I can't seem to find the threads anymore. I saw a thread that said you can put a 350x motor in a 300ex. Is this worth the time and money? Has anyone done this? What exactly do you have to change to make the engine fit in the frame? These are just a few questions I have concerning this conversion. I am thinking about doing since I ride with friends who have 350's and 400's and I can't keep up with them. Anyway, any information anyone has would massively appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Thanks but it says temporarily unavailable. I can't even see how much the conversion kit is. Also, does the kick starter really sit that high? Thanks again.

The tough part, if you're not gonna spring for the Powroll kit is the pipe. The 350X header wont fit the 250/300 chassis. Buy the pipe from Powroll, chop a little off your rear-most case mount and drop 'er in.

yes it does, but you have to dent it slightly so the kick starter doesn't hit it, or the kick starter won't fold all the way in and it keeps coming loose while riding, and hits you in the shin. Or you could just buy the powroll exhaust, even though it is a bit overpriced for a supertrapp.

i think i woould buy a $20 used header for a 400ex than that a supertrape one and just mod the 300ex silencer or get a 400ex one.

Thanks guys! I think you have helped me make the right decision as I am not going to do this conversion. I don't like the way a bent pipe looks (where the kickstarter is) and I don't like how high the kickstarter sticks up, nor do I like having the exhaust pipe on the outside of the frame like that. Thanks Again!!

Thanks Big K. I feel much better about the kickstarter, but I don't like the way that header comes out around the frame and it unprotected. Especially at the price of head pipes. Anyway, thanks for the pics. I really liked them.
