Hairline cracks in case?

Around the front of the motor on the right side, I found some tiny hairline cracks or marks on the case about 2 inches below the head. They appear in the same area on spare 400ex motor too.....I'm not losing any oil in the area that I can see? Those are just casting marks I'm assuming....any ideas?:confused: I found a few old threads and searched for close up pictures of the motor....with not much luck. Thanks.

Every quad I've owned has been the same way. Its just casting marks. Don't sweat it. ;)

This is easy to test for. Get a butane/propane canister torch, (light it), and lightly put the fire to the area you think may be cracked. If oil bubbles out, you've got a crack.

It's probably just a casting mark though.
