I cant seem to figure out what bolts or what to take off...do u have to bend those clips down that are holding those side bolts in place? if so how, because i tried and they wouldnt budge...
also my rotor appears to be a little scratced...because my pads are basically shot, will the rotor be fine though? thanks...

take a flat head screw driver or chisel and hammer those tabs down flat so that you can then loosen the bolts with your wrench or socket. Those hold the pads in, then on the left side of the caliper you will see two 12mm bolts that hold the caliper to the caliper plate, take those out so you can pull the caliper off you brake rotor and take out old pads and install new pads. You will need to take a C - clamp or a large set plyers and squeeze the brake piston back into the caliper so the new pads will fit in, also while doing this take the lid off your rear brake fluid resivior to take pressure off the brake piston when you squeezing it back in.
Your brake rotor sounds like it has normal wear
