Question about race classes.

I have always wondered what the difference between the 4-Stroke class and the Production class is?

4 Stroke can be any 4 stroke 91-450cc. Any chassis, any engine.
But most guys just race productions bikes anyway, because that's what they have.

Production can be any current production 4 stroke 91-450cc.
Must be production chassis, unmodified, production engine that came in the bike.

Basically it's just another class so they can make more money.
