Dan broke:p And since he has to let his shoulder heal for a few weeks, I offered to bring his quad up to spec and you know nothing will leave here in an "Un-Bling'd" state:devil:

Kevin and Pappy,

You guys are awesome !!!! My bike has been in need of some seriouse attention. I've been so busy with building the park I haven't had the time or money to.

I only wish when I heal up I'll feel as new as my quads gonna feel.

Can't wait the 6th and 7th are only 2 weekends away.

Way to go Pappy, and KH426. No offense Dan, but your quad needed some TLC :D

Pappy
04-26-2006, 07:08 AM
Dans shocks left this morning, headed to C&D Racing for an update and service. I have no idea how he managed to ride that quad and do what he does on basic suspension! He is an animal.

Works front shocks, stock rear shock, serious air

For everyone thats seen my quad lately they know my secret is to get rid of all the extra stuff that weighs it down. Like bumpers, and fenders....

Pappy
04-26-2006, 07:24 AM
Yeah I have seen Dan lighten his quad lap after lap:D

The quad will be completed and you will get to see it at the ride in 2 weeks. I know you are Honda all the way, so it will be fitting for thier colors;)

Your new arms will be here proably friday or monday, shocks should be back here by the end of next week. By then I will have the frame gusseted, coated and ready for reassembly. I may throw up a picture of two of the progress, but it will be a surprise to you when its is completed etc. Let Kevin or myself know when you get your fenders completed and we will be up to pick them up.

Im sure you will give the quad a new look on life !! Any plans for the motor ? What a-arms did you choose for the rebuild.

Pappy

Knowing he will be switching to a 450R in the near future, and keeping a limited budget in check, we will be using Burgards HD standard travel arm +3. Dan has been running stock arms, so the extra width should be a benfit for his airborne acrobatics:p

How far is it, I'm sure it would be worth a 3 day trip. Ride Friday Saturday and Sunday or ride satruday and sunday travel Friday and Monday. From the feed back I'm getting its gonna be a great weekend. Remember were cooking a pig and having a cook-out on Sunday.

As far as award for farthest traveled that weekend ?? That does sound cool. I'll even give away a free weekend pass to the person or group (up to 4 people) that drives the farthest. Since we won't know who won until the end of the weekend the pass will be given out on Sunday and will need to be used for a future trip to the park.

OK I expect to see lots of outta state tags up in the parking lot on the 6th and 7th.

Dan's Frame, swinger and subframe are in the burn off oven as I type. I doubt I will have it back until tuesday but thats when I figured on it coming back. The new A-Arms are completed and will arrive monday.

It's all good Dan, I try and support anyone who supports this sport, and I know you have worked your rear end off trying to offer folks a good, safe, family oriented facility for all riders to enjoy.

Its all good, I still enjoying the work so in a way its not all work:p Im working on getting a better way to strip most frames and parts and rely less on sending them to a larger company so I can control the biggest factor in turn around time. Once I am done, I should be able to turn a frame in 24 hours. Ive built this one step at a time, I dont see a reason to change yet:D

thats really cool you fotta love what you do or eventually it will get to you. after i put all my time into the frame painting i found out there was a powder coating shop liek 10 mins down the road
but it was relaly fun to spend that much quality time ..... with my quad lol:D

Check out the mulch I've been adding to the tracks getting them ready for this weekends ride. Today we had 6 tri-axle dump truck loads delivered and were getting 10 more tomorrow. Tracks should be incredible this weekend.

Pappy
05-01-2006, 10:02 PM
LOL...the wife just asked me for some mulch:devil: I will tell her I lost my head and it was delivered to you:D

Hopefully we get a little shot fo rain this week, or even a shower on saturday. That would really help and with the mulch it would be almost ideal conditions!

If you look in the bottom right of that last pic you can see my couch for the Couch Race on July 1st. Pappy I'm wanting to know if you and your brother are going to build an off the hook couch for the race. I know Kevin and you don't need the two memberships were giving to the winning team. But there is also a title on the line!!!! I'm sure everyone would want to see what kinda couch you could build for the race. You have 60 days to design and build.

Maybe I should consider some consolation prizes for like most original couch. Maybe an award to the team with the most riders on the couch?? Heck after the race we could have some other contest: highest Jump?? Farthest Jump? anyone have any other ideas??

Pappy
05-02-2006, 08:50 PM
I think I will need some "couch" time when this week is over:p

Dan, your new arms are in, coated and ready to go

All parts are now ready, frame should be done tomorrow

Shocks are done and on thier way back here, should be thursday.
