Help leaky carb

I have a trx400ex '00 and i run a stock carb. My carb likes to drain alot of gas out of my over-flow tube and it dosent do it all the time. I have tried adjusting the float and it didn't help. Any sugestions would be greatly apreashiated. And if any one knows where i can get a walk-through of rebuilding my card that would also be greatly apreashiated.

Sounds like maybe the float is occasionally hanging up and staying in the down (open) position. I've seen floats that move freely at times but once jostled around will hang up.

It could also be that the float's needle valve and/or needle valve seat are worn and don't always provide a good seal.

If your sure the float isn't hanging up than you might try getting a K&L carb rebuild kit--it will come with a new needle valve.

All of the above is assuming the carb is squeeky clean. If it's not then do that first.
