Is there better performance from an aftermarket exhuast over a stock with the tip removed. I am going to pick up an ltr this saturday. I plan on removing the end tip from the pipe, taking the lid off and replacing it with a k&n or uni, and installing a cherry bomb. I am interested in knowing if I will gain more power with an aftermarket exhuast.

yes, about a 4hp increase over stock with a full exhaust.
