speeds of the 400ex

i just found out how fast mine went today 65 now i want to hear all the speeds fro staock to 440s i want to hear how fast some of yours go.

Your top speed is only determined by your gearing. Engine mods just get you there faster. If you do a search there is a 400ex gearing calculator. I think stock is somewhere close to 70. Yours is a little lower because of the smaller front sprocket. ;)

1/8 mile drag strip. I ran 67 and was barely half way thru 4th. Goin again tonite hopefully will run faster. That was a 9.77.

yup, but for the 05 being slower because of teh front sprocket is false. they re-geared teh tranny so the final drive ratio is actually slightly higher than the earlier years, so it will go faster, but barely.

450rchaser-what gearing are you running? the ONLY way to get a faster top speed is taller gearing or faster RPM's. motor mods will not do anything for your top speed, other than get you to it faster.

UMMMMMMMMM........ i 2nd that theres absolutely no wayur 400 can do that.... u got a lil 416..I have a 460 and I only go 72 on roads... lol a 400ex doin 67 1/2 throttle in 4th gear.... HAHAHA hold on give me a minute Im crappin the **** outta my ***..... OHH wow dude do you have a 5,000 cc stroker kit or is the cop a compulsive liar??? and if a cop saw u ON A ROAD GOING 81... hes not gunna be like dude what u got on that... Hes gunna be like ya u gotta perty big fine here.....

I am goin to buy a new 450r and they dont do 81 with a exhuat, piston, cam, and a 460 kit... so I think this kid is gettin a lil too carried away here... 81 hmmm and i bet the cop waved right? a cop would prolly flip on the cherries and hit ur backend of ur 400 just for some ****s and giggles!! and then he'd check ur pockets for donuts! and if u had none ull get a fine uf u had some maybe hell say what the hell u got on that thing

By the way I did do 81, and i never said I ran from the cops. I said he stopped me. I met him coming down my road. By the way I'm 24 and no your girl didn't have my baby.

Time slips were from the same day. On the second one check out above the #31 it says T Trials. The first one says Elim right above the #29(ME). Wouldn't to hard to shut your little comment down.

What other mods cause that would require 16/36 gearing, with a +1000 rev box, and 22" tires plus about a mile to get up to speed.

I HAVE THE 16/36 GEARING AND THE REV BOX BUT NOT 22 INCH TIRES BUT THEY ARE WAYBIGGER THEN STOCK
