the one on the left appears to be a keihin 152 hex-head mainjet, and the one on the right is a pilotjet, maybe a 42?

I know from experience that the core does affect jetting. I would guess that it changes the main by at least one size.

yes it will cause harm. either jet it or leave it off until you can get into the carb.

Its going to be running lean and hotter than it should so just get it all done at once and you'll be happy

If you have to ask what jets are, I'd suggest having someone who knows how to do motor work help you or taking it to a shop to install. Not being a d!ck either, it'll save you problems if you don't know what you're doing.

Correct, it is easy if you have a bit of knowledge on the subject and have done it before. Asking what jets are does not sound like he has a lot of experience in that area. Mearly just a suggestion if he at least had someone come over that has done it before to show him how it's done.

You can still learn by doing, just take baby steps.
