400ex stem-250r stem

Can Anybody tell me a if stock 400ex steering stem will fit an 89 250r with a stock frame.

no it wont bolt right in you have to cut the stops down for it to work.
as the ex steering stop is at the front and the r is located behind the steering stem.

I am looking for a stem for my buddy and he was asking if a 400 stem would fit. I just took a look at my wife's 400 stem and it looks like it would work on a 250r. I compared it to mine.

yah ive had 2 in my bike but they dont hold up that well
