View Full Version : Urgent Front Sprocket?

Which way does the front sprocket go on a 250R (88) I had mine come flying off and I gotta put a new one on and I'm not sure if the flat side goes into the cases or out?

flatside in... i would be more worried about why it came flying off to begin with though.

13/39 or 13/38 depending on the year, for your 89 it was 13/38. BTW, congrats on the purchase. It looks clean! Its better to buy a clean one from the start then start with a rat's nest and work up.

13-38 or 13-39 depending on the yr. and the trannys ar geared a tad different on the yrs too so that effects it.

:huh Zed you should know better, the flat side of the sprocket goes out, so the spring washer sits properly. The raised side goes in.

So which side goes in? I rode the bike all day yesterday with the flatside out?
