can get chain adjuster to work

Hey guys, I cant get my chain to tighten. Didnt think it was rocket science, removed two allen bolts, stuck in screwdriver in notches, wont budge either way! any suggestions, i even used a cheater pipe? oh yeah bike is 300ex

Do you have an aftermarket skidplate? If so the bolts they supplied could be too long and be bottomed against the carrier, happened to me once before. other than that I don't know.

I wouldn't get to rough with it if its a stock carrier. It could possibly be as far as it goes. In that case you need a new chain. if it won't move either way all i can say it maybe somehow get some kind of penetrating lube in there. If ya can't do that then your gonna have to pull the axle and take the carrier out. if you don't know how to do that, do a search for 300ex axle

I had that on my 400 ex, I ended up getting it by putting a small brass bar against one side of the u-slot and tapping it with a hammer to jar it loose, then it worked fine.
