I just got the 06 airbox outerwear cover and it seems like a very tight fit has anyone installed on of these yet ?? Does the velcro go on the intake side of the airbox or the back ?? It is so tight it looks like you won't be able to take it on and off without removing the airbox. Does anyone have pics of this and let me know how easy it is to take on and off.. Thanx

I have read that you may have to acctually cut the airbox to fit it on.
I went with the old school with the k & n and pre-filter.
like $120 for the kit, and I have no regrets.
maybe in a few months they will make one for the 06 that fits.

The 06 requires you too remove the lid.I used the Prodesign k&n kit.

I used a 04 or 5 lid i cut the entire center out and put the outerwear over it then used aluminum to make a frame around it then cut the excess off.Looks like the EHS lid but costs $28 instead of $90!!!

They do fit really tight. I played hell getting mine on my 400ex. Good luck. The velcro does go on the inside.

The one i got has elastic around it instead of velcro but was to hard to get on and wasnt very secure. So i made my own like the EHS.

That will work. Sometimes you gotta engineer your own stuff. Whatever works, right?
