2005 450r vs 2005 yfz top speed

Me and some buddies clocked our bikes on a radar this weekend, the 2 2005 450r's clocked around 123km/hr or 76.3m/hr and the 2005 yfz was 121km/hr or 75.1m/hr pretty close if you ask me. Both stock with spark arrestors out

we radared 04,05,06 this weekend topped out on flat pavement
2004 without fenders BONE STOCK 79.8
2005 STOCK 73.5
MY 2006 TRIED TO DIFFERENT RIDERS 71.5 YUKKKKK!!!!

04&05 have 14t front sprocket stock whereas the 06 has a 13t front that should be the difference right there.

why is the 04 faster than the 05??? i thought they were the exact same bikes

The 04 had no fenders. It may seem little but I bet that it made a little bit of the difference.

All bikes are different. When my stock 04 raced my buddies stock 05 I got crushed top end. I guess this guy had a dif story.

Yup... it just happens. Although they have the same type of engine, not all run the same and therefore results vary.

ya it would be cool but I dont think a 14 tooth is gonna give me 8-9 miles an hour.either way I love my quad it jumps awesome,wheelies like mad and can go up anything so Im happy. it aint all about top speed oh and just to let you all know a 700 raptor showed up that same day and ran 78 mph stock

damn them raptors are fast, i can't imagine if you mod one what it would do, blow me away pretty much i guess
