2005 vs 2006 honda HRC kits

Hey guys i was wondering If anyone knows much about the HRC Power-up kit that Honda sells, the 2006 and 2005 versions are different, but I have heard will work on either bike, I have a 2005 450r and I was wondering what to put on my bike. I do understand what each kit is doing, i was just wonderng if anyone here has one installed.

They are totally different.

The cams will interchange but most of the other parts were designed for that year...

If you have an '05 TRX, get the 04/05 HRC....because all the other parts in the kit are designed for that specific model.

No the kits are not the same
No the quads are not the same
different motor
different carb.

THE SQUARE PEG WILL NOT FIT IN THE ROUND HOLE !!!

man i get it, chill out, this hole thread was about the quads are similar, the motors are similar, and the kits are totally different, so why? not no it won't fit cause uh uh oh uh i can't make it work.

diff are:

06 has- fcr carb [needle, main, pilot, leak jet]
- larger airbox [uses no lid w/ hrc]
- exhaust port has diff angle [header pipe]
- harness adapter for more rpm

if you have a kit for a 04-05, there will be parts that will not fit the 06, and vice -versa.

the cam will work.

if you have a kit for the 04-05, sell it and get the right 1. otherwise youll have parts that will not work on your model. waste of $$.
