changing sprockets

I’d like to drop a tooth in front. Can I just swap the front sprocket without changing the chain and rear sprocket or should this all be done at once? My chain is factory and has one season of trail/track riding on it but was well maintained.

well since the back arnt brand new and he front is it will make it wear down a lot faster... and it should work u will just have to tighten the chain...i usually just change them all at 1 time... idno if u will have to cut the chain or not just do it and see.. quote me if im wrong...

yah just loosen the chain almost all the way first and then remove front sprocket. put your new sprocket on there and loctite the bolt down and retighten chain. if you do need to take a tooth off for it to fit you need a new chain.
