HMF quiet core question

my buddy is probly gettin a hmf slip on for his 400ex, but its probly too loud for where he is. he wanst to put a quiet core in it, has anyone ever put a quiet core in a hmf? if so, does it rob the power? ive never tried a quiet core in mine

yea i run mine sometimes... doesn't rob a lot of power, but quiets it down pretty good.

I leave mine in pretty much all the time, I didn't notice any real loss in power.

It does knock a few decibles off the volume though.

I run a quiet core in my 450r HMF full system. It definitely makes it quieter and I don't notice a huge difference in power. I don't have to run it where I ride but never take it out.

i leave mine out and put the endcap on cock-eyed so it's really loud in the guy's ears next to me.

i use my core but i get way better power and throttle response on tight trails without it.i only use it if im near a bunch of houses or i get tired of how loud the pipe is.
