This pict is so old but it is the only one I have. The jump is about 50 feet I needed 4th gear about half throttle but it is now 40 feet because it was crossing another jump too many close calls. The longest is 70 feet on the track. That one takes 5th half throttle.

my biggest on my 400ex is bout 12 feet high and about 60 ft long, going REALLY fast

my longest on my XR100(this was a while ago, i'm too big for it now) was only about 6 feet high, but was around 55-60 feet long, and that was WOT in 5th.

heres my biggest jump....65-70 foot stepup at rausch...i hit it in 3rd tapped with stock tires and gearing...woulda been better to brap 4th though....the 1st pic is not me its lou but it shows the actual size of the jump although it didnt go over to nice after i jumped it a few times :( 041 that jump is so awesome im gonna hit that sometime cause the landing wont be that hard, u got a **** of a run, and the gap is not that huge so it would be hard to mess it up.

Ya, vet (30+) and senior (40+) runs in the afternoon. There are 2 or 3 guys in the vet class that haul *****! Check out the overall results at some of the other races and you can tell how fast the leaders of each class are www.gnccracing.com If you want to run in the moring you would be stuck running first year racer, or 4 stroke C. Unless you are eligable for the super senior (+50) class:eek: or the women's class:eek: :eek: .

If ya run the vet class watch out for Blaine Schick. That guy is lightening fast. I raced in a race with him last year and he lapped me twice. It was an eye opening and very humbling experience. Also if ya race the afternoon race watch out for Chris Borich. He almost ran me over this past sunday while racing. I had told him before the race to yell loud when he got up to me and not just leave a Razor track over my back. He just about scared the guy infront of me to death.

This is probaly the biggest jump I have ever jumped. It's about a 70ft double. You come off a little tabletop before it and I come off the table top in 2nd gear and have the throttle pinned. Click 3rd and don't let off none to get over it on my pretty much stock ex.

not sure if your reffering to my pics but if you are it actually one of the only tracks in NY - LONG ISLAND..its called long island motocross and its an awsome track, very well maintained cause it's an AMA track. it's more of a Dirtbike track but quads can ride it just fine, see ya

About how high of a jump can a stock 400EX's suspension handle? Thats my highest jump on my whole track, its not much of a track cause we had to make it all with shovels, I have 3 jumps about half that size and a dip thats about 3 ft deep with a small jump coming out of it, and 4 whoops. Its not that good of a track but its all my recon can handle (its probally actually more than it can handle, cause the rear shocks done busted) I have a 200S three wheeler but I don't even think about jumping it more than 3 ft going over second. It has no rear shocks and the front are busted. Don't idle either.

That depends on how the landing is built. If your landing on flat groud then you wont be able to jump very high without being hard on your quad, But if it is a tabletop, double, or even a tripple with a nice gental landing then you quad will be a lot happier even if you are getting 15, 20, 30' of air.

I had a 95 foot up hill double on my practice track that had a nice smooth landing, But I have seen a lot of smaller jumps that dottom out even the best suspention.....

Well, most of the time I do wear a helmet, just usually when I'm getting my pic took and when I'm riding around my house. I haven't never wrecked on a jump or anything, (probally cause its not high enough, well its high enough it'd be just kinda hard to wreck on a jump that small) the only time I've wrecked was by going down a hill backwards and turning the wheel, and one time going down the road and slaming the back brakes trying to do a 360, which works good on a wet highway, but not on a dirtrode with a recon anyway, but fortunatly I didn't get hurt in any wrecks. Just flew though the air a few feet.:D

yah but who in the h*** wants to pick up the peices of his rotting body??? My dad use to work for a fire department when I was little and he was sick for weeks after just one car accident. I'd hate to say it but go to rotten.com and look up motorcycle crash at the bottem. That guy is still a live too. Just wear your helmet! About 6 months or so ago, I was b****ing to a guy for not wearing his helmet to have him come back after a really bad crash and had to go to the hospital for a week or so. trust me i've learned the hard way my self too, just take my advice and put the d*** thing on.

Here are a few of my pics, I put them together to form 1 big pic. Pic #1 is of me jumping my biggest jump which isn't to big. Pic #2 is of me doing the same, just at a different angle. Pic #3 is of me doing a stoppie, or nosestand. Pic #4 is where I jumped, landed sideways, and fell off. If you look at good you can see me sideways. My jump has ruts in it and it will throw you sideways if you don't hit it right, no injurys, just a ran over leg. Pic #5 is of me catwalking. Pic #6 is of me whipping up on a banshee with my 400EX, lol, or of me taking advantage of his nearly slick tires :P Pic #7 is of me doing the same. Pic #8 is of me doing a no hander on my recon. Pic #9 is of me doing another stoppie.

Also, You guys that call these Pics fake becuse of the fuzz better run one of your pics thru a scanner and see what it does to it, expecilly if there is just sky in the back ground. Check out 2003TRX250EX's pic of him 4 ft off the ground, look at the tops of the trees also.

hey wired, how do you bend the steel like that? Do you just plain bend it or, cut it into a bunch of strait peices, cut notches in the side so its easier to bend or what?

you just cut notches on top of the metal. if you look closely at this pic you can see all the cuts. if you measure them out and do a little math you can get the bend just my cuttin in the right places like we did. works out pretty good. only cut 3/4 of the way through, then when you got your bend and want it to stay, weld the sucker back up over the places you cut. simple :cool:

this is my biggest air on camera anyway. snow jump i built in the winter in front of my house. 6 ft high. my friend is 5'10 and my back wheels were a little over his head, i wish i had a better angle. i'll get some air pics next weekend. i'm goin to my friends house and she has tons of jumps and stuff.
